Insights in life and tech

The cloud. An amorphous vapor of electrons. Bits in the air. A cumulous collection of data. An always-on-everywhere connection. To an artist interested in synthesis, it is a thing of beauty. I’ve come to believe in the cloud, and trust it…for certain things.

There were multiple reasons why I posted the ‘random scans’, one of which was to have immediate access to past inspiration and ideas at a moment’s notice. Another was that I was increasingly moving to a digital sketchbook.

Knotted Nature

I don’t often look to nature in my work, but when I do I like to find unique things. These are some knots in a tree root out by my parents’ house. Over time, they have opened up to catch rain becoming little pools of standing water. I think it’s quite neat, cute, complex all at the same time.
