Discrete Packet Prototype

07 | November | 2010

Latest project. There will be 77 of these suspended from a series of cords to form a message. Using different bb’s to express the order of the binary. steel is 1; copper is 0. They are counter sunk into a small piece of wood which is held in a plastic package. I’m still doing research on the title to see where it came from.

Delivery Version I

30 | August | 2010

This is ‘Delivery’, an installation piece. This is the first version based on the accompanying sketch. This piece has already gotten more complicated in my head. The ‘distribution center’ in the middle will be more involved with a very different feel to it. It will be kinetic, still involve liquid, and use another found object. Floating in space

Here is Delivery in a space. The tentacles are just held in by pins at the moment, but in a real space they’ll be bolted to the wall. I have to clean up the space (obviously) in order to properly document it, though. It may change slightly from this to final presentation, but who knows? The glass jar will house some sort of ‘formula,’ I have yet to decide what. It will add color and a bit more mystery, I think. Better yet, and I’m thinking out loud here, I could put in a slimy ooze and not only let it leak a little, but also have just enough in there to make it look drained or used up.
