The high school I do set design for is putting on Willy Wonka this year. Here are some scale mock-ups:

T-shirt Project: A New Thought

Person of Interest

So its wintery and snowy out, and I’m in front of my computer thinking about this post, and wondering if I can improve on it. Not that it in any way needs more to the idea, but maybe to reach a broader audience.

The original idea is to make only one of each of the t-shirts pictured, but I was thinking it would be more apt for the more politically motivated ones to have more than one printed. I still like the idea of a single edition, but also like the idea of making a larger edition. The larger editions, now that I think about it, would need a significant number. After some quick research, it seems there are some 50-60 individuals detained in Guantanamo that fear being deported or released back to their own country. This would be a perfect production number then for the “Enemy Combatant” shirt.

I realize this goes against the grain of the David Foster-Wallace quote somewhat, but maybe if I switched the colors up? An edition of 1 of white on black, and then an edition of 50-60 of black on white. I don’t know. I may just stick with a single edition for all of them to make them more unique, rare and to drive home the point of the quote.
